This is a public warning about how some installers are offering discounted rates for fabrication and delivering cut rate work. Some installers are finishing off your new granite or stone with a 2000 grit polishing pad which can be detrimental to the longevity of your new stone or granite. The proper way to finish the stone is to build up to a 3500 grit polishing pad which can take more time but it also ensures a life long finish to your stone. This is how certain fabricators are able to offer fabrication rates at $14- $20 a sq ft.
